Hello and Welcome to Independent Patriots for America!
The year 2007 is the beginning of an Independent Patriot movement across America we have dubbed; “INDEPENDENT PATRIOTS FOR AMERICA”. We have but one purpose and that is to ensure our great Republic remains free and under the authority of “the people”.Americans are generally without political representation…Republicans and Democrats have abandoned the people. America as the Founding Fathers envisioned, is in jeopardy.
It’s difficult to put a finger on what the feeling is about another political party other than serious doubts. The term “third party” is generally viewed as a loser and evokes a “it won’t work” “been there, done that” attitude….what America needs is some means to over-power and hold accountable the two party system without the third party stigma.
Registering as an Independent (which many of us have already done) separates American’s from all parties and places us in just that status…Independent, being accountable only to God and the best qualified “leader” to represent us in political office. Those registered “Independent” and those that think (Democrats/Republicans) “independent” are in fact a political power. The key is bringing that power to bear in America’s best interest.
The best chance to overcome democrat, republican, or any party machinery is to field candidates who have Founding Father attributes with “Independent” traits, releasing the stigma of “political party”. Although “Independents” may be a party, they are not viewed, tainted, or soiled with the same objectionable brush political parties in general seem to be painted.
The term “independent” resonates with American voters as being set apart, a different status that gives many Americans a sense of not being part of the unpleasant immoral, greedy, illegal, selfish, ego centric, power hungry, political parties in control.
I use Senator Lieberman in Connecticut as an example where a decent man can overcome the Democrat or Republican machinery. The Democrat machine voted him out but he challenged the two party system, changed his affiliation to “Independent” ran against the Democrat who defeated him in the Primary and the Republican candidate and easily defeated them both. The democrats defeated him in the primary because he is a Iraq war supporter, but the Independents (people) elected him because they view him as more objective and with common sense…not sold out to a political machine.
American’s clearly want another choice. They don’t want to send someone to Washington that merely echo’s the republican or democrat party machine…American’s want someone to go and vote for “right”, American principles, make things better for America, be courageous, not continuation of party power.
There are so many fragmented political parties, American’s don’t see any hope in any of them…but seem comfortable in separating from the major parties, becoming Independent and voting as they see fit. American’s want candidates with less, not more ties to major parties.
Our assumption is that the majority of American’s are “independent” thinkers. Many are registered “Independent” and many are still registered Democrat and Republican…but in the end we see the challenge by Independent Candidates as a hope to crush to strangle hold political machines have on American people.
But the question, and wish there was an easy answer - how to mobilize men and women to become candidates as “Independents”…First, millions of “independent” thinkers must renounce current party affiliation and register “Independent” which is the job we have of convincing members of all parties to become “Independent”..
