Now is the time to standup folks…….we are moving toward a gigantic Eagle presence in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2008 to defend our nation and our warriors……..Eagles Up doesn’t need you support, GOE doesn’t need your support, Vets for Freedom doesn’t need your support, no organization or movement needs your support………….AMERICA NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT AGAIN…advertisements, speeches, letters, are of minor influence… “BOOTS ON THE GROUND” makes the greatest impact……..the enemy is merciless, barbaric, unforgiving and some in America can’t or won’t recognize the threat America faces.
 
Our plea is not without understanding the sacrifice, difficulty, distance, financial impact,  etc., traveling to Washington, D.C. entails……we know it’s tough, demanding, and painful for many whether elderly or not so mature, as many of us have done it a few times……..it’s also tough to be facing the Islamic butchers in Afghanistan and Iraq for our warriors…..we must protect their back here at home…we simply cannot allow our troops to be abandoned…the United States Congress is doing enough damage…we must counteract the behavior of our gutless politicians with our own show of force and support for those protecting our freedom.
 
Will we stand by and allow our current generation of warriors be treated like our veterans of the Viet Nam era were betrayed?  Not no, but hell no……..no one stood up for us and it won’t happen again.

I personally urge you to consider…no not consider, but take a role as a State Coordinator, an Eagles Up supporter, someone that will forward emails to friends, to help in any way you can to raise the awareness to other Americans to join us in our fight for our nation.  “None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something”

Introduction of New California State Coordinator

Eagles UP! is pleased to announce Glen Boyd as our new State Coordinator for California. Over the past couple of years, Glen has become incensed by the increase of anti-American sentiment, especially in Northern California. In response, he has joined The American Legion, donated goods to Operation Care and Comfort, has attended three PGR missions, and now will shoulder the challenge of introducing the Eagles Up mission statement to the state of California.

Glen has been married for 25 years and has recently retired from the Semiconductor Industry as VP Worldwide Marketing and Sales of Intersil Corp. where he was responsible for $800 million annual sales, 300 people, and a $75 million expense budget.

He graduated from Kansas State University in 1969 with a BSEE degree prior to starting his military service, where he served as a 1st Lt. in the 1st Signal Brigade in RVN.  Among his service related awards, Glen received the Vietnam Service Medal, ARCOMM, and the Bronze Star.

Glen’s father was a humble WWII veteran who was laid to rest last fall in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery near St. Louis. The flag from his coffin is proudly displayed in Glen’s living room. In regarding Veterans, his thinking is driven by the phrase, “all gave some, some gave all”, and demands they must be treated with the respect they deserve.

What, in the name of common-sense, is going on in Florida’s legal system?  For that matter what is going on with America’s approach to justice?
 
Some examples…yesterday a 10 year old in Florida was arrested by police, placed in a juvenile facility, because she was using a steak knife to cut her meat that she brought to school in her lunch.  Now one can argue the meat should have been cut at home, but given she was displaying no intent to do anything but cut her meat at lunch, why would a teacher call the police rather than confiscating the knife, calling her parents, and using the situation as a reasonable learning experience, not only for the young girl, but the entire school?
 
In Destin, Florida, a man was convicted and given a life sentence without parole because he loaned his car to a friend who, with some others, committed a robbery which resulted in a homicide.  The owner of the car was not involved, knew nothing about the crime, but was convicted along with those that committed the crime because his car transported the individuals to the crime scene.
 
I don’t have to rehash the DA Nifong criminal and wrongful prosecution debacle of Duke University lacrosse players which Nifong used as a political reelection tactic.
 
Consider border agents Ramos and Compean…convicted and sentenced to 10+ years for shooting an illegal alien drug smuggler who lied on the witness stand against the border agents…a prosecutor who knew the illegal alien was lying, but for political gain used the false testimony to convict two border agents protecting America.
 
National Security Adviser to the Clinton Administration, Sandy Berger pleaded guilty to pilfering highly  classified documents from the National Archives, saying he showed “very poor judgment” and that his actions were “wrong.”  What’s his sentence?  A fine, some community service, and barred from the National Archives.  Berger was later selected to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign staff as an adviser which appears more painful than the theft sentence.
 
None of this meets the common-sense test…worse yet it demonstrates a legal system that is broken, focused on numbers of convictions, arrests, but without the underlying principle of “justice”.
 
To take this issue one gigantic step further, consider the “illegal alien” fiasco.  The American legal system is replete with laws on the books to control our borders, prosecute those that violate immigration policy, and protect our sovereignty. 
 
Given the Florida example of the Destin man who knew nothing about a crime being committed but was convicted, what does this say about the United States Congress, and all  other officials who know crimes associated with illegal aliens are being committed, and take an oath,
 
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
 
Yet, from top to bottom,  our officials who know without any doubt,  that illegal aliens are breaking American laws, are pouring across America’s borders, employers are hiring them, these aliens are bankrupting our medical facilities, overcrowding our schools, creating hazards on the highways, depleting social services designed for Americans, destroying unity and assimilation principles in America, a major ingredient in crime and prison population, a potential funnel for Islamic terrorists,  yet Congress plays political games, ignoring the criminal activity and threat to America’s sovereignty for political advantage. 
 
Doesn’t it follow that the United States Congress, given they are fully aware of crime associated and being committed by illegal aliens and take no meaningful action,  be prosecuted by the United States Justice Department for violating their Congressional oath?  A Florida man can be convicted for a crime he knew nothing about, but the US Congress can perpetuate an ongoing crime and not be held accountable?
 
The point seems to be made without going into issues such as, politicians abandoning warriors in battle, givng aid and comfort to the enemy, thirty some US Senators voting against English as our official language two years in a row(four of them presidential candidates), our moral rudder is considered obsolete and “political incorrect”, we have to define marriage, smut rules, God and prayer is attacked, we must establish forts as homes, on and on.
 
Friends, America is about a half-step from chaos…our nation is disintegrating and destructing from the inside.  We are being herded as sheep to the slaughter by wolves rather than being protected by a faithful shepherd.
 
While our gallant warriors sacrifice to protect our freedom from without, they cannot save us from the cancer within. 

We need to stand-up on the homefront and take back America.

For years, military retirees of the Greatest Generation fought Congress and the Courts, all the way to the Supreme Court, for Health Care Promises we were made for sacrificing our youth for the Defense of our Country.

In 2001, we won one of our battles and was awarded Tricare For Life (TFL), to supplement Medicare, but we still must pay Medicare Part B and for many services, not covered by either Medicare or Tricare For Life, such as Dental, Eyes, Long Term Health Care and more.

Now we learn that the Department of Defense wants us to pay an enrollment fee for the Tricare For Life we fought so hard for, supposedly to offset erroneous claim of health care expenses to their Department.  How in good conscience can current active duty members of our Armed Forces lie in order to penalize those who sacrificed before them?

A great deal of the Pentagon’s concern over rising health care costs involves the nearly $9 billion annual deposit to the TRICARE For Life trust fund that the Administration wrongly counts against the defense budget.

Two years ago, when Defense leaders said the Administration was making them take this deposit “out of their hide” at the expense of other Defense programs, the Armed Services Committees acted to change the law to shift that deposit from the Defense budget to the U.S. Treasury budget. The clear intent was that TFL expenses weren’t to come at the expense of other readiness needs. Congress passed that provision as part of the FY2005 Defense Authorization Act (Public Law 108-375).

But the Office of Management and Budget has since conspired with the budget committees to flout the clear letter of the law and continue to charge the deposit against the defense budget. That’s why the Administration has wrongly forced the Joint Chiefs of Staff to choose between retiree health funding and weapons programs.  It’s a false and inappropriate choice.  If the Administration obeyed the law, the debate wouldn’t be necessary.

I am sending this information to my two Florida U.S. Senators and my District U.S Representative, asking that they look into this matter and to stop this new discrimination against our oldest Military Retirees, their Spouses and the Widow’s and Widowers of the Greatest Generation.  I suggest every Citizen of this great Free Nation, demand justice for military retirees, who helped keep this a Free Nation, by asking their Senators and Representatives to intercede on behalf of our military retirees.

Indications over the last few days suggest further deterioration in the viability and stability of America and it’s institutions.
 
Certain actions by the media and courts leave one wondering if common sense, decency, rational thinking, and American principles have gone down the sewer of political correctness or plain idiocy.
 
First,  this past week NBC refused holiday advertisements thanking our troops for serving overseas.  The ads, paid for by the non-profit Freedom’s Watch, reflect a simple video thank you, with people shown paying gratitude to members of the military and the final frame showing Freedomwatch Web address.

Second, a federal appeals court Dec. 6 temporarily blocked Kansas laws restricting pickets at military funerals as constitutionality is reviewed.
 
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit ruled in favor of Shirley Phelps-Roper, who sought to temporarily block enforcement of statutes restricting where members of Topeka, Kansas.-based Westboro Baptist Church can picket at military funerals is reviewed, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported.
 
Westboro Baptist Church members believe God punishes the United States for tolerating homosexuality by killing Americans, including soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Members of the church have picketed funerals of soldiers killed in the two theaters, sometimes prompting confrontations.
 
Let me understand the NBC refusal.  An organization simply wants to buy advertisement on NBC TV in the form of a video “thank you” to American troops for their service. NBC initially refused to accept the paid for advertisement as “controversial” and because the purchaser happens to be Freedomwatch ? If after viewing these “thank you” messages you find controversy, I’ll kiss you butt and give you 5 weeks to draw a crowd.  We have troops fighting and dying to ensure NBC’s constitutional freedoms and in turn NBC cited a lame controversy excuse when in reality they attempted to use their political position to trump recognition of our service members. It took an outcry across America to convince NBC their refusal was despicable, forcing them to reverse their decision.  On the other hand, it is my understanding NBC willingly provided over 30 hours of “free” television coverage in support of former vice-president Al Gore’s global warming propaganda.  Yet NBC had to be forced to accept a message to say “thank you” to our troops, even though it was paid for?  Can NBC’s initial action be characterized in any other term than an unpatriotic betrayal of America and our troops?  I think not.
 
Now the Westboro Baptist Church goes a mile further than NBC and takes aggressive action against our troops and families by engaging in the most vile behavior at funerals of our fallen warriors. Somehow this vicious Westboro group are able to get near immediate bench time in Federal Appeals Court and granted an injunction to block a Kansas law that stops the Church bizarre activity.
 
Picketing at military funerals?  The thought that anyone can find justification in picketing, demonstrating, or disrupting a funeral is beyond comprehension…at what point does freedom of speech stop?  Protesting at a funeral ranks right up there with screaming “fire in a crowded theater”…it is disgraceful, putrid, and cannot be allowed.
 
Our troops are simply doing what the nation and it’s leaders are asking them to do…they are the last ones that want to be in harm’s way, putting their life on the line, or for that matter taking the life of another, but they are willing to answer their nations call, even in the face of loss of their own life and limb.
 
What do our service members get?  A major American media network, NBC, must be bombarded by the American public to convince them to accept advertisement  “thanking our troops” for their service.  Further, a so-call church engages in the despicable action of taunting, disrupting, and dishonoring our fallen during personal family funeral services.  NBC experienced the wrath of American consumers, unfortunately, the courts are untouchable and virtually unaccountable to America.
 
American media, the US legal system, and the US Congress reflect a worrisome and destructive attitude, scared to death of anti-America, surrender elements, who have one goal…the destruction of America. 
 
How far and long will America go in putting up with the insane direction elitist elements are taking our nation before we stand up and hold them accountable in tangible, uncompromising terms?

Is America Waking Up?

America is free because of the brave…we have freedom of speech because of the brave…we have a responsibility to protect our Constitutional freedoms by actively exercising our freedom of speech.
 
The media recently carried a report about a man protecting his neighbors property from two robbers.  The end result was the neighbor protecting property killed the robbers.
 
The Black Panther Group in the video below takes issue with the killing but are confronted and overwhelmed by American’s with another message.
 
I urge you to view the video for one reason…it paints a picture of America stating, “we’ve had enough” of a corrupt legal system, uncontrolled criminal activity, and a few radical, anti-America elements taking center stage, seeking media attention, claiming to speak for America.

You can take issue with the methods of the USA chanters on freedom of speech grounds but there is no doubt the Black Panthers were run out of town.  There was no violence, only verbal confrontation….the message is a resounding wake-up.  If American leaders continue to ignore the bubbling cauldron, blood will run in American streets soon.
 
Is the anti-America, anti-war, sell-out, greedy America crowd getting the message yet?  They no longer own the media, high-jack the majority, or rule the streets, as this video shows, which is being repeated at other events across America……..the tide has turned.  The rabble that would abort the principles and foundation of America is being challenged…they are in retreat.
 
Only one thing to do…when the opposition is on the run….triple, quadruple the pursuit.
